HOW TO GROW YOUR HAIR?
Each hair on your head grows from a hole called a follicle. At the base of the follicle is a group of cells called the papilla. They grow and become hair cells. Then harden and die. As they are more dead cells are pushed out of the follicle and form a strand. Within each follicle is a gland cebacea. This produces an oily substance called sebum, which coats the hair and keeps it healthy.
A hair grows about 20 millimeters per month. It has an average lifespan of two to six years, then dies and falls. You lose about 100 hairs day, but steadily grow new to replace them.
TYPE OF HAIR.
size of follicle on your scalp determines the thickness of each hair. The bigger the hair, the greater is the hair. The fact that your hair is straight, wavy or frizzy is determined by the shape of each strand and your follicles. Has straight hair strand grows from a rounded, circular follicle. Wavy hair strands has rounded but grows from a follicle, kidney-shaped, while strands of oval and kidney-shaped follicle results in a curly black hair. HEALTHY HAIR
When your hair is healthy, the cells forming the cuticle lies flat. This creates a smooth surface that reflects light well and makes your hair look shiny. When hair is damaged cuticles become brittle and frayed, absorb light, making the hair look dull.
